Review of Modern Witchcraft with the Greek Gods

I haven’t read a book as well put together in a few years, Modern Witchcraft with the Greek Gods was a delight to read. The layout of the book was easy to read and will be a great book to come back to work with each individual deity.  Jason Mankey and Astra Taylor make this book a powerhouse.

In the book the deities are in their own section making it easy and a joy to read.  The writers take history, modern rituals and rites, and community worship to make the book enjoyable.  It is a book that deserves high praise.  The book is easy to read for beginners but also has information for advanced witches of the Greek/Roman faith.

As someone that reads and studies the Greek/Roman gods and has been practicing for over thirty years this book really moved me.  I will use the book over and over again.  Many deities in the book are ones that you haven’t read a book about.  As a follower of Hera, it was refreshing to hear histories and rites dedicated to her.  I often use my myth books and my history books like the Greek Magical Papyri to make up rituals and rites. I will now use the Modern Witchcraft with the Greek Gods as a source of information.

I found the book a true blessing and I can’t praise it enough.
