Likely the most convincing signs of the role and divinity of Jesus Christ was his ability to perform miracles. The New Testament describes more than 30 different occasions in which the Savior performed an act that was considered unexplainable through earthly means during his lifetime, but that also cannot be replicated by modern technology and science.

Turning Water into Wine
Jesus’ first miracle involved the transformation of water into wine. At a wedding feast in Cana, Jesus performed His first public miracle by transforming six jars filled with water into wine, after the wine provided by the host had run out.

Healing the Nobleman’s Son in Capernaum
In Capernaum, an official (designated “a certain nobleman”) approached Jesus, pleading with Him to heal his son who was near death. Jesus healed the child remotely, then told the boy’s father, “Go thy way; thy son liveth”. The father, believing that Jesus had or would heal his son, went home and found that his son had been healed from the time of the nobleman’s interaction with the Savior.

Healing Peter’s Mother-in-law
When Jesus was visiting Simon Peter’s house, he found Peter’s mother-in-law sick with a fever. Jesus healed her by touching her hand, and she rose and began to serve them.
