The Miracles of Jesus Christ in the New Testament

The Miracles of Jesus Christ in the New Testament May 25, 2023

Likely the most convincing signs of the role and divinity of Jesus Christ was his ability to perform miracles. The New Testament describes more than 30 different occasions in which the Savior performed an act that was considered unexplainable through earthly means during his lifetime, but that also cannot be replicated by modern technology and science.

I have summarized the miracles of Jesus as recorded in the New Testament below, including listing a commonly understood designation of what the miracle was along with a brief description of the miracle followed by the scriptural reference with a link that allows you to read the account of the specific miracle in the only New Testament (King James Version) published on ChurchOfJesusChrist.org.

Regarding the miracles done by Jesus Christ as recorded in the Bible, James Talmage has this to say:

The miracles of record in the Gospels are as fully supported by evidence as are many of the historical events which call forth neither protest nor demand for further proof. To the believer in the divinity of Christ, the miracles are sufficiently attested…

These miracles are faith-building reminders that Jesus was and is the Son of God, and that He is willing and capable of doing things for the benefit mankind that are unexplainable by our limited abilities.
