Center (Who do you Trust?)

Trust: How hard is that? Placing our trust in the Lord: what does that look like? Psalm 118:8 reads, “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” Studies say that this Scripture is the Bible’s center, meaning that the same number of verses exist on either side of this passage. However, I believe there is a much great point to the significance of its placement.

If we look at the state of the world right now, we see utter confusion. However, if we consider the reasons for such, we clearly see much is due to having placed trust in man rather than God. Therefore, it is time to reverse course.

God has never made a promise that He will not keep. So trust Him today and find peace.

The Hard Reality

I know things seem complicated these days. So many are traveling difficult roads. But my friends, this world is not our home if we know Christ. We are just passing through. Far too many struggle daily with the unknown—the worry over this and that, the constant fear of what “might” take place. There is no faith in fear.

The Answer (Placing trust in the Lord)

Turn your life over to the One who will not fail you, the One who never needs a bailout, the One who can bring real change to your life, Jesus Christ. My life has never been the same since the night I surrendered my heart to Him. It was the best thing I ever did. We make so many choices in this life that we regret. We carry the weight of those regrets with us nearly every day. But our Lord makes it clear that we can give it all to Him and be free. He nailed it all to the Cross. We can have clarity about life, direction, and fulfillment only when our eyes focus on what matters. Peter walked on the water. He did the supernatural and unbelievable until he removed his eyes from Jesus. As the old hymn writer stated:

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.”

Stay alert

The time is drawing close, my friends. While we do not know the hour or day, we have the promise. I am not a gloom-and-doom guy; however, we must encourage one another during these uncertain times. Scripture says, “Comfort one another with these words.”

I urge those consumed by the world’s worries “cast your cares upon Him.” He will guide you in a way and to a place that nothing here on earth can compare.

My prayers are with you all. God bless and keep each of you.

Keep looking up; it may just be today!
